WELSH discus star Funmi Oduwaiye relished competing on the world stage alongside compatriot and debutant Bree Cronin after narrowly missing out on a medal in New Delhi.
Cardiff's Oduwaiye, 22, finished fourth in the F44 event at the World Para Athletics Championships as a throw of 37.91 metres saw her fall short of the podium by little more than a metre.
Closely behind her was Cronin - also 22 - making her senior international debut and delivering an admirable performance with an effort of 37.69m.
