Proposal for ‘mini industrial estate’ given green light in valley town

PLANNERS have given the go-ahead to a scheme that will create a mini industrial estate in the southwest corner of the county.

In May, a planning application was lodged by Mr and Mrs Evans, who wanted to develop 13 commercial storage and light industrial yard compounds on land off the former Haul Road, west of Brynygroes in Ystradgynlais. The scheme includes the installation of security fencing and access gates for each individual unit. The site lies next to a large housing development of 110 homes currently under construction at Brynygroes.
