Man knocked two people unconscious

A DRUNK thug knocked two men unconscious in a busy street after they told him to “relax” when he was arguing with his girlfriend.

The Swansea man was caught on CCTV hitting the men to the back of their heads and fracturing one of the victim's jaw, which left him needing surgery.

Lewis Watkins-Harris, 21, was on a night out in Cardiff city centre on July 6 last year when he became involved in an altercation with his victims Matthew Davies and Nathan Hume.

They saw the defendant in St Mary Street shouting at his partner, and Mr Hume told him: “Relax, don’t be so aggressive.”

A sentencing hearing at Cardiff Crown Court heard a verbal argument took place between Watkins-Harris and Mr Hume, and he grabbed the victim by the throat with force.

Mr Hume's breathing was affected and Mr Davies pulled the defendant off of his friend.

Prosecutor Jac Brown said Watkins-Harris responded to this by punching Mr Davies to the back of the head, also impacting the left side of his face and jaw.
