A MAN began “bombarding” his ex-partner with hundreds of calls and text messages after getting out of prison for harassing her, a court has heard.

- JASON EVANS Court and crime reporter

Jamie Hancock made a series of lurid threats to his ex, including telling her he was going to “smash up” her face so nobody else would want her.

Hancock’s barrister told Swansea Crown Court his client accepted he had a tendency to “fly off the handle” on occasions and that he understood he needed help with his mental health.

Ieuan Rees, prosecuting, told the court that in October last year Hancock’s relationship with his partner of some 12 months broke down, and then in January this year the defendant was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison and made the subject of a two-year restraining order for harassment and making threats in damage property in relation to his ex.
