WALLS TALK: Secrets and ceremonies inside the Tower of London

THE Tower of London has been home to kings, traitors and exotic animals, and a part of London’s skyline for almost 1,000 years.

And we're back for an eighth series to discover some more of its secrets.

It's a quick rewind to June 2024, and the nation is preparing to mark a landmark anniversary: 80 years since the D-Day landings.

At the heart of the commemorations, Tower deputy governor Debbie Whittingham, is organising a major remembrance service on Chapel Green.

And it's a national moment of reflection timed to coincide with royal events in Normandy, where the King and Queen are paying tribute.
