Fans ramp up their campaign with march

Determined supporters of the under-threat club are planning a protest march next month in a mass show of force to the Welsh Rugby Union.

It will be held ahead of the home game against Ulster on February 28. The planned route takes the march from Bridgend Railway Station to the Brewery Field.

“It's something we've talked about doing and we plan to do it ahead of the game with Ulster” said Ospreys Supporters’ Club chair Sarah Collins-Davies.

“It’s a show of unity to show we have strength in numbers.”

The march is one of a series of measures fans are ready to adopt - a social media blitz is also being mooted - as they ramp up their campaign to save the Ospreys.

The club’s long-term future is under grave threat amid the Welsh Rugby Union’s controversial plan to reduce the number of men’s professional teams from four to three.
