Decorator's chilling attack on partner
South Wales Evening Post
|September 15, 2025
A MAN who “cannot control his temper” after drinking twice assaulted his partner after getting out of prison.
Jason Beech had only been back in the community for a matter of weeks following a conviction for biting a man on the ear outside a pub.
A judge at Swansea Crown Court said it was clear that when he is in drink 54-year-old painter and decorator Jason Beech is a “violent man who cannot control his temper”.
Ryan Bowen, prosecuting, told the court that Beech and the complainant had been in a relationship for some eight years before the defendant was jailed in October last year for inflicting grievous bodily harm on a man outside a pub in Swansea.
He said given the length of time Beech had spent on remand before sentencing, he was released in November or December, though it was not clear exactly when. The barrister said following his release from custody the defendant's relationship with the complainant was “rekindled’
The court heard that on January 25 this year the defendant went to the George pub in Swansea before going to his partner's house and in the early hours of the morning an argument broke out between them about someone he had been drinking with.
The prosecutor said that during the row Beech grabbed the woman and threw her against a doorframe, causing immediate pain to her shoulder.
