Cyclists facing unusual 100-mile ride challenge

South Wales Evening Post

A CYCLING instructor, along with friends and colleagues from Swansea, is preparing for a 100-mile charity challenge... with a difference!

- IAN LEWIS

Isobel Norris wants to raise vital funds for Anthony Nolan, a charity that matches patients with donors for lifesaving stem cell transplants.

Isobel is organising the 100-mile bike ride this Saturday, July 12, from Swansea to Barry Island and back again.

Despite being experienced cyclists, all the riders will find the route challenging - as they will all be riding the full distance on 'Brompton' bicycles, with small wheels, few gears and a riding position better suited to a five-minute ride to a train station than a 100-mile slog through South Wales.
