Campaign returns to make sure needy get festive cheer

MP Carolyn Harris is once again leading the appeal.

MP for Neath and Swansea East, Carolyn Harris, who founded the project nine years ago to help families who were struggling at this time of year, was joined by fellow Parliamentarians Nick Smith, MP for Blaenau Gwent and Rhymney, Stephen Kinnock, MP for Aberafan Maesteg and Jeremy Miles, MS for Neath to kick off the campaign for 2025.

Everyone Deserves aims to support local families facing personal or financial difficulties by providing hampers at Easter and Christmas, and food to children’s clubs, family centres and groups supporting other vulnerable people throughout the year.

It began back in 2016, with Carolyn Harris’ team making packed lunches during the summer holidays and then 100 hampers for local families in Swansea East that Christmas.
