Obsessed stalker, 67, left his victims terrified
South Wales Echo
|April 27, 2026
AN OBSESSED stalker who terrified his victims was exposed in a chilling police interview.
The 67-year-old, who bombarded a woman with thousands of unwanted text messages, told police he had been getting “mixed signals” from her and that sometimes women who say “no” really mean “yes”.
As previously reported in the Echo, Zulfkar Ahmed stalked the cafe worker for three years after initially getting her phone number by offering to help her find a job.
As well as sending the woman some 10,000 text messages, the defendant bought her unwanted gifts and would also turn up uninvited at places where she was and events she was attending.
