A TEENAGER threatened to murder a police officer shortly after being arrested on suspicion of murdering a 38-year-old dad, a court has heard.
Kamran Aman died on July 1
The boy was en route to custody following the stabbing of Kamran Rasool Aman in Barry, when he made the comment.
The 16-year-old is standing trial at Cardiff Crown Court alongside a 17-year-old boy over the killing of Aman. The boys - who are from Llantwit Major and entitled to anonymity because of their ages - have both admitted manslaughter but deny murder.
On the night of the killing, June 30, the two friends spent time at a house near the home of Mr Aman’s mother.
Mr Aman was in the area because he had just delivered groceries to his mum.
In his closing speech, prosecutor Owen Edwards said: “A young father set out from the home he shared with his wife and children.
“He was visiting his mother in the family home in Barry Road.
“He took her some shopping and left the house shortly after midnight to enter his own car. He did nothing wrong.
“Within minutes he lay bleeding to death on Barry Road having been attacked by two young men.
“They inflicted unlawful violence on him and they wanted to seriously hurt him. Kamran Aman was simply wanting to survive. Mr Aman was given no choice and no chance.
“We say, quite simply, Kamran Aman was murdered by two young men in an act of drunken temper.
“You can be sure each intended really serious harm that Kamran Aman suffered.”
