Bid to cut traffic speed on main road

Somerset Guardian

November 20, 2025

Councillors in Peasedown St John have written to the lead- ership at Bath & North East Somerset Council asking for traffic calming measures to be installed in one of the village’s most well-used streets.

A community-wide survey cartied out by Independent councillors Karen Walker and Gavin Heathcote earlier this year discovered that residents want to see more being done to cut vehicle speeds in Bath Road.

Bath Road is the main thoroughfare through the centre of the village that connects over 2,000 homes with local shops, amenities, eateries, churches and Peasedown St John Primary School.
