Newcastle International Airport is gearing up for its busiest February half-term on record - with more than 120,000 passengers expected to pass through its terminal this week.

That, the airport says, is a 10% increase on last year, with over 750 flights arriving and departing during the school holiday period, with traditional sun-seekers' favourites such as Alicante, Antalya, Dubai and Tenerife the favoured destinations.
