Newcastle United are sweating on the fitness of Anthony Gordon ahead of Saturday's Premier League match against Manchester City at St James' Park.

Gordon missed Newcastle's 3-1 Premier League defeat at Brentford before withdrawing from the England squad due to a hip injury picked up during the 2-0 Champions League win against Athletic Club.
Tino Livramento and Yoane Wissa also missed the Brentford game due to knee injuries, while Dan Burn was sent off at the Gtech Community Stadium and Nick Pope picked up a concussion during the match.
Burn will be suspended for Saturday's match before returning to contention for the trip to Marseille, while Pope will be back available for selection. Wissa remains out while Livramento is closing in on a return.
