IRON'S ROBERTS AND STARBUCK SIGN NEW DEALS

- By SAM ALLEN

CALLUM Roberts, who scooped the majority of the end-of-season accolades last season en route to promotion from the National League North, was the club's top goalscorer in the last campaign, scoring 20 league goals in his 43 appearances, 41 of which were starts, inclusive of the promotion semi-final.

The 28-year-old's performances last term may have easily drawn interest from elsewhere, so retaining him for another season is a big win for the club and coach Butler as they prepare for the challenge of the National League.

Joe Starbuck originally joined the Iron in February and, after patiently waiting for his opportunity to step into the starting XI, grasped his chance following an injury to Oli Rose.
