49 PROTECTION ORDERS PUT IN PLACE ACROSS HUMBER REGION

- By MARK PAGE

POLICE say there are currently 49 Stalking Protection Orders in place around the Humber region with victims of potentially ‘life-changing’ offences being encouraged to come forward.

April 21 marked the start of National Stalking Awareness Week, which is dedicated to highlighting the impact and seriousness of stalking.

Chief Inspector Nicola Roworth, from Humberside Police’s Safe-guarding Governance Unit, is also the Stalking lead for the force.

She said: “National Stalking Awareness Week is a very important week of action for Humberside Police. It’s a force priority, and the seriousness of stalking offences cannot ever be downplayed.
