'New dining experience' for town as bold venture opens

RESTAURANT DOM MARKS A NEW CHAPTER FOR THE TEAM BEHIND AWARD-WINNING HOPE & ANCHOR

THE team behind South Ferriby’s award-winning Hope & Anchor pub have responded to local restaurant closures with a bold new venture in the heart of Scunthorpe.

Restaurant DOM is the brainchild of chef patron Slawek Mikolajczyk and general manager Benoît Lamaudière, who saw their vision brought to life on April 23.

Taking its name from the Polish word for “home”, DOM, in Robert Street, will be offering “a new dining experience” that is “zero-waste”.

In a post about the imminent opening, Restaurant DOM said: "After months of planning, tasting and refining, we can't wait to welcome you in to experience our new home of flavours, sustainability, and hospitality in the heart of Scunthorpe. We kindly ask for your patience on our first day - we'll be giving it our all, but like any new beginning, there may be a few small bumps as we settle in.

"Come hungry, come curious, and let's make opening day one to remember!"
