Sports presenter Kenny is battling prostate cancer

ONE of Scottish sport’s most recognisable voices has revealed he is suffering from prostate cancer.

BBC Radio Scotland broadcaster Kenny Macintyre spoke out a day after it was recommended than not all men should be screened for the disease.

The 57-year-old said he had shown no symptoms and it was only discovered because he pushed to be tested.

not the news anyone wants to be told but I am very lucky to have caught this early, and I believe that is only because I pushed for regular testing.

“I had absolutely no symptoms and all examinations indicated things were normal.
