DANILO: YOU CAN WIN OVER FANS YOUSSEF
Scottish Sunday Express
|November 09, 2025
DANILO has backed teammate Youssef Chermiti to come good at Rangers but concedes the big-money price tag is doing the Portuguese striker no favours at Ibrox.
The 21-year-old has scored once since arriving from Everton in the summer for a reported fee in excess of £8million, the second-highest fee paid by the Light Blues.
Fans were again dismayed by another couple of missed chances in the club's 2-0 Europa League defeat by Roma on Thursday which left Rangers bottom of the 36-team league with no points from four fixtures.
Danilo, 26, joined the club from Feyenoord in 2023 for £6m and, in part due to injuries, has only sporadically hit the heights, although he has been utilised by new head coach Danny Rohl.
