Beeb 'let down' campaigner in Tourette's row

THE BBC has been slammed by the director of Bafta-winning film I Swear for “letting down” Tourette’s campaigner John Davidson after his racist outburst during the live coverage of the awards.

The 54-year-old, from Galashiels, Selkirkshire, shouted the N-word at actors Michael B Jordan and Delroy Lindo during the event at the Royal Festival Hall in London last week.

Mr Davidson, who left the auditorium shortly afterwards, said he felt a “wave of shame” and issued a swift apology, stating he was “deeply mortified”.
