'Axe harmful work law now Rayner's out'

THE Prime Minister must follow up Angela Rayner’s exit by scrapping a workers’ rights revolution likely to hit businesses to the tune of £5billion, Tory leader Kemi Badenoch says.

The Conservatives claim the former deputy prime minister was at the heart of a trade union-backed “war on the private sector”, with Labour taking £35million in union donations since Sir Keir Starmer became leader.

Keeping the new sweeping workers’ rights Bill in tact is “irresponsible and dangerous”, they argue.

Noting the Government's own figures suggest the Bill will cost businesses £5billion, Mrs Badenoch said: “With his deputy now out of government, the PM needs to focus on the dire economic situation.
