- Maisha Frost

Voicing concerns held right across the hospitality industry, the firm’s owner Sam Dimond sees club closures and the hit to the nighttime economy as a threat with wide ramifications.

Sam, based in Essex, explains: “In four years the East of England has lost 39% of its nightclubs. Rising costs, tighter licensing rules, poor late-night transport and consumer behaviour shifts after Covid have all contributed.

“But we're not just losing a valuable economy, this is dismantling the cultural fabric of UK towns and smaller cities. We shouldn’t just accept it. We need targeted support for venue infrastructure, energy relief and licensing reform. Let’s stop the lights dimming while we can.”
