Victim denied payout because sex assault took place on plane

A PLANE passenger who was sexually assaulted while asleep on a UK-bound flight is demanding a shakeup of criminal compensation rules.

Two hours before her Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Gatwick landed, the 24-year-old woke to find Momade Jussab molesting her.

Jussab, 66, of Feltham, west London, was convicted in May on sexual assault charges and jailed for six and a half years.

His victim, known as Kelly - which is not her real name - said her compensation claim for the injuries suffered was rejected because the attack did not occur in a "relevant place".
