Trajectory of Milne is leading to Scots call

ANDREW CONSIDINE feels it’s only a matter if time before Aberdeen defender Jack Milne wins a Scotland call-up.

The 22-year-old was a surprise starter in the Scottish Cup final in May and hasn't looked back since, nailing down a starting slot at centre-half this season.

Academy graduate Milne's assured displays certainly haven't gone unnoticed by Dons icon Considine, who won four caps for his country.

He said: “Jack's putting in really, really good performances.

“Other than maybe notching a couple of goals from set-plays, he has shown everything else in his game.

“The next step - and I know it’s quite a big step - but surely in his head he’s probably thinking, Scotland.

“Grant Hanley and players like that have been unbelievable servants for Scotland.

“But when you look at their ages, they're not going to go on forever.

“You then look at who is coming through next.
