Teenager admits trying to kill in track-push stunt

A TEENAGER who had absconded from hospital tried to murder a young woman by shoving her in front of a train.
Andrew Wason attacked Sophie Scott pushing her on to the tracks but miraculously she avoided death.
CCTV images played to a court yesterday showed that she was milliseconds from being struck by the train in Glasgow.
The court heard Miss Scott thought she was going to die and the train driver believed he had killed her.
The incident happened in April of last year at Hyndland station in Glasgow’s West End.
The 19-year-old turned up at the station after walking out of nearby Gartnavel Hospital where was being treated for mental health issues.
Miss Scott was at the High Court in Glasgow yesterday and watched horror CCTV footage of the crime.
