Hamilton offers McLaren pair tips to beat ‘cut-throat’ rival

LEWIS HAMILTON has told fellow Brit Lando Norris he must be ruthless to see off the threat of Max Verstappen.

Norris and McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri have been reeled in by the four-time champion in recent weeks.

Verstappen is now just 40 points off the lead thanks to three grand prix victories and one sprint win over the past four race weekends.

Hamilton knows exactly what it is like to take on the Dutchman, having fought a furious title duel against him in 2021.

And he can see the McLaren duo being beaten by the end of the year if they show any weakness.
