GIVEN that they didn’t exactly part on the best of terms, wasn’t it nice of the BBC to invite back their former Wimbledon presenter Sue Barker last year, to interview Andy Murray on centre court?

Personally, I'd have told the weasels where to shove it, but I don’t think Sue’s that sort of person.

Besides, talking to the soon-to-retire Muzza in front of that adoring crowd - taking him on an impromptu trip down memory lane - was a very special thing to be able to do.

"I couldn’t miss this!" she exclaimed. Wimbledon’s not quite the same these days without Sue, is it? Not only did she bring charm and warmth to the job, she also brought actual experience of playing tennis.
