Strawberry Fields forever in memoriam

“FIFTH Beatle” Sir George Martin is being honoured with a rose garden in Strawberry Field.

The project had been spearheaded by his widow Lady Martin until her death last year, when it was decided to dedicate the space to both of them.

It will be opened in the grounds of the former Salvation Army children’s home next spring, according the charity, which still owns the Liverpool site.
