Steel deal with US delayed

SIR Keir Starmer was accused of “broken promises” as it emerged his steel deal with the US has not started - raising fears UK jobs could be put at risk by Donald Trump’s tariffs.

The Prime Minister hailed a “landmark” trade deal to “save thousands of jobs” on May 8, saying at the time: “It will remove tariffs on British steel and aluminium, reducing them to zero.”
