Gilmour believes his Napoli mate is on way to becoming a legend

BILLY GILMOUR reckons Scott McTominay could end up in the same bracket as the legendary Diego Maradona at Napoli.

The Scotland star has seen how his international team-mate has lit up Italy in their Serie A title win.

McTominay was named Italy’s most valuable player and is already the idol of the Napoli support.

Argentina legend Maradona, with Napoli’s stadium — where there is a statue of the ace - named after him, is the hero of Naples after helping them to Serie A titles in 1987 and 1990, a Coppa Italia in '87 and the Uefa Cup in 1989.

Gilmour sees no reason why McTominay can’t end up in that same superstar bracket - if he continues to shine at Antonio Conte's side.
