'Scandal' as wonkiest pub site is turned into a dump

THE site of what had been the UK’s wonkiest pub has become a dump two years after The Crooked House burned down in a suspected arson.
The ruins of the 250-year-old inn in Himley, Staffs, were quickly bulldozed but councillors ordered its owners to rebuild the tilting tavern after its unlawful demolition.
Campaigners say the site is now overrun with tyres, mattresses, toys, fridges and drug paraphernalia.
Pub regular Martin Eley, 49, of Himley, said: “The site now is heartbreaking.
