Playing in Europe is a Ferry-tale

UNITED STAR LIVING DREAM
STAND-IN Dundee United captain Will Ferry says he has fulfilled a boyhood dream by playing in Europe this season.
The 24-year-old grew up in Bury as a Manchester City fan and would be glued to his TV when they were in Champions League action.
United’s Conference League adventure started with 1-0 home and away wins over UNA Strassen, with Ferry’s proud parents travelling to Luxembourg to watch their son in last month’s second leg.
The left-back again wore the armband in last week’s 2-2 draw with Rapid Vienna in Austria, with club captain Ross Graham a long-term injury absentee.
And Ferry is praying the fairytale continues for a while longer as the Tangerines gear up for tomorrow’s second leg with Rapid atTannadice.
He said: “It is a bit cliched or cringey but it is something I’ve always dreamt about, although it was more the Champions League.
“This is the Conference League but it’s still Europe and it was something | always wanted to do as a kid.
