Now Nats' nanny state targets junk food deals

HARD-UP consumers will be banned from multibuy deals on items listed as junk food by the SNP Government.

Ministers confirmed plans to roll out restrictions on the sale of foods high in sugar and salt, including pizza, crisps and readymeals.

It is part of a bid to make Scotland healthier due to an aging population that is causing strain on the NHS.

Even though prices will go up, there will be no reduction for fruit and vegetables, leaving hard-pressed families out of pocket.

And there will be no more bottomless soft drink deals at restaurants such as Nando's and WingStop as these will be also be phased out.
