Mother avoids jail after choking son's ex-partner

A MUM battered her son's ex-girlfriend and choked her until she could not breathe while helping him move after their breakup, a court heard.
Emma Rolls, 42, left Bethany Ariss, 25, with a black eye, bloodied nose and neck and back bruises after attacking her on March 16 last year.
Rolls who has avoided a jail term after being given a suspended sentence and her husband Tony had gone to help son Hayden Awford move out of the couple's shared house in Worcester.
