Workers complain of aggression and filth in heart of capital

MIGRANTS who have set up a tent city in London's swish Park Lane threatened a Daily Express team who arrived to investigate.

The group has been living in around 19 tents outside five-star hotels and restaurants at the luxury spot for several months.

Workers say the migrants, largely from Romania, often fight among themselves, shout at the public, drink vodka in the early hours and use the area in Westminster's Mayfair distict as a toilet.

But Mayor of London Sadiq Khan's office has told those who complained that migrants represent a “huge strength” to the capital.

Fighting

On my first attempt to enter the area, a man approached and shouted at us to move away.

After we crossed to his side of the road, he became increasingly aggravated and threatened to break my phone and that of the photographer accompanying me “in two”.
