DAVID MARTINDALE has floated the idea of a transfer window for managers - because he’s “disgusted” at how desensitised football has become to bosses lasting as little as 39 days.

The Livingston manager's former Premiership counterpart Ange Postecoglou was shown the door at Nottingham Forest this month just eight games in.

And he feels the clubs who have sidestepped the “hire and fire” culture, such as Hibs with David Gray, are the ones who stand to benefit.

Martindale, left, said: “I genuinely think there needs to be something in the game where we're kind of treated nearly like a player, that you can't just hire and fire, you can (only) do it in a window.
