Man jailed for 9 years over riots

A MAN who fuelled a fire set outside a hotel housing over 200 asylum seekers has received a nine-year jail sentence.
South Yorkshire Police said Matthew Crossland, 32, was seen on camera throwing planks of wood and bricks at the Holiday Inn Express, Rotherham, and officers protecting the site last August.
