Lyall: I probably tried too hard to prove my head wasn't at Ibrox

RANGERS-BOUND Lyall Cameron admits trying hard to prove he had no commitment issues with Dundee took its toll on him.

The midfield ace bowed out in brilliant fashion with a brace in the 2-0 victory at St Johnstone on Sunday.

Cameron contributed four goals and an assist in his final three matches as the Dark Blues dragged themselves clear of the relegation zone.

That sizzling late-season form defied those among the Dens Park faithful who doubted the 22-year-old's devotion to the cause when he penned an Ibrox pre-contract in February.
