Look who's been spotted at the zoo

EDINBURGH Zoo has welcomed a new cheetah in a bid to breed the species in the capital - just five months after its previous cheetah died.

The four-year-old cheetah, named Billy, arrived at the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) attraction on Wednesday from Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire.

Zoo chiefs want to add a female to breed with Billy, with hopes of cheetah cubs at the attraction for the first time in over a quarter of a century.

The announcement comes seven months after animal lovers welcomed a five-year-old Northeast African cheetah named Cleo from Fota Wildlife Park near Cork in Ireland.
