LUCAS NMECHA’S 84th-minute penalty gave Leeds a dream start to life back in the Premier League and ruined Jack Grealish's Everton debut.

The former Wolfsburg striker had been on the pitch for less than 10 minutes when he coolly drilled his spot-kick into the corner of the net.

The spot-kick was awarded after Anton Stach’s shot ricocheted off Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and struck James Tarkowski on the arm.

Everton manager David Moyes remonstrated with referee Chris Kavanagh at the end, but the win was no more than Leeds deserved after dominating against the listless visitors, who struggled to rouse themselves even with the late introduction of Grealish, below.

Leeds started three of their summer signings, though there was no involvement for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who joined the club on Friday.
