JACK WARNS: SEASON COULD DRIFT FROM US
Scottish Daily Express
|October 20, 2025
JACK BUTLAND fears Rangers' season will soon be over, if they don't start winning games.
And the goalkeeper - the Gers' best player this term - has told the club's hierarchy it is vital a new manager is brought in to replace the axed Russell Martin as quickly as possible, particularly now the talks with top target Kevin Muscat have collapsed.
Gers still haven't won a league game at home this season from four attempts after Saturday's 2-2 draw with Dundee United.
They're sitting sixth in the Premiership table, 13 points adrift of leaders Hearts.
And trail Old Firm rivals Celtic - losers at Dens Park yesterday - by eight.
Butland, below, admits the entire campaign is in danger of slipping away from the Light Blues, having also lost their opening two Europa League fixtures, with Brann away up next on Thursday evening.
When asked if the season could fall away if form doesn't pick up, Butland said: "Of course it can. We're better off not beating around the bush. We know what we want to achieve and what this club expects.
