‘It's not stuff you tell each other every day'

ROCKY BUSHIRI admits he felt emotional as his team-mates paid tribute to him in a video montage at Hibernian’s end-of-season awards ceremony.

The 25-year-old has been a rock at the back after forcing his way back into the side on a regular basis in November.

That impressive form saw Bushiri honoured with the Players’ Player of the Year prize on Sunday.

He said: “I got a bit emotional because those words are not things that you tell each other every day, but it’s beautiful to hear things like that.

“It means a lot to me because it’s so important that you get this from the boys you're with every day — with your proper family. So I’m very grateful for this.
