Elvis already plans to use transfer fee

- By Scott Burns

STEVEN PRESSLEY is not surprised Hibs-bound Josh Mulligan has decided to move on and the most important thing is that Dundee maximise their compensation.

The Premiership pair have still to agree a transfer fee for the out-of-contract midfielder and if they can’t then it would go to an independent transfer tribunal.

Mulligan came through the Dundee ranks and are entitled to around £300,000 and Pressley knows whatever they get they must put to full use.

Pressley said: “When I arrived I was briefed that the club had made Josh an offer so have always been aware of the situation.

“There was a chance he could come back but we knew he wanted to pursue other opportunities.

“So it’s not a huge surprise and I get it from his perspective. There’s no criticism there.

“Josh is doing what’s best for himself, naturally. It will be very difficult to replace him.”
