Hundreds allege Army sexual abuse

HUNDREDS of women have alleged they were sexually abused during medical checks to join the British Army.

An investigation, lead by Wiltshire Police, is under way into claims recruits were assaulted at multiple UK locations from the 1970s to 2016.

The force last week appealed for the public's help as part of its probe into "non-recent sexual abuse" of recruits, codenamed Operation Pianora.
