Yacht diverted and crew made to watch October 7 video

- By Giles Sheldrick Chief Reporter

ECO activist Greta Thunberg claimed she had been kidnapped by Israeli forces yesterday as they intercepted and boarded her Gaza-bound boat.

The Swede, 22, was one of 12 people on the Madleen since it set sail on June 1 with aid for the enclave.

Israel warned the Freedom Flotilla Coalition campaign group it would stop the yacht and, in the early hours, forces stormed the vessel.

In video footage Ms Thunberg and her crewmates looked petrified as their ship was shadowed by speed-boats and drones, before being stopped by commandos.

They were then forced to sit with their hands in the air.

The crew were expected to dock at the Israeli port of Ashdod and made to watch a video of the atrocities carried out by Hamas on October 7.
