IT'S A KNOCKOUT Gogic helped Saints march on to the last four of the Scottish Cup with a hard-fought win over Partick Thistle

The Buddies survived a second-half siege from their visitors from the Championship on Sunday to win 2-1 and book a Scottish Cup semifinal date with Celtic.

The result was a huge tonic for the 10th-placed Premiership strugglers, who have won just one of their last 13 topflight games.

Four league fixtures beckon before their Hampden tie against the team they beat in December to lift the Premier Sports Cup.

And Saints will need to soldier on without defender Marcus Fraser, who faces two months on the sidelines with a dislocated shoulder, joining Mika Mandron on the long-term absentee list.
