GERS DON'T ROHL OVER THIS TIME

New boss Danny restores a bit of backbone as his side recover from Euro loss and Killie leveller
DANNY ROHL was forced to offer apologies after a disastrous dugout debut in Bergen.
But his new Rangers side are feeling a lot less sorry for themselves now after the gaffer opened his Ibrox account with a much-needed three points.
The German got his first look at the challenge ahead of him after watching the lumbering Light Blues suffer a Brann battering in midweek.
But with just two days' training time, he has quickly lifted the spirits left scattered on the floor by the disastrous appointment of Russell Martin.
Goals from Derek Cornelius, Danilo and Youssef Chermiti saw off Kilmarnock to move Gers up to fifth in the table - but there's still a lot of hard work ahead if Rohl is to repair the damage done by Martin's catastrophic start.
Cornelius grabbed his first goal for club after quarter of an hour as he flicked home from a James Tavernier set-piece.
Stuart Kettlewell's Killie were handed a gift of an equaliser as George Stanger capitalised on Jack Butland's error just before halftime.
But for once this term, the Light Blues refused to let a misstep trip them up and responded with Danilo's header before Chermiti ended an almost three-year wait for a goal.
It might have been an even more resounding win had Rangers not had two more goals for Bojan Miovski and Nico Raskin chalked off for offside at the end of each half.
DANNY ON A ROHL
You can forgive the new Ibrox gaffer for feeling like he has leapt from the frying pan into the fire after swapping one crisis club for another. Down at Hillsborough, his old Sheffield Wednesday side believe salvation is on the way despite crashing into administration this week.
