PAUL LAMBERT has told Nicolas Kuhn and Reo Hatate to knuckle down and give more to Celtic before chasing big-money moves because the grass isn't always greener.

- By Ryan McDonald

In-demand German winger Kuhn has been heavily linked with a £15million switch to RB Leipzig, while Italian outfit Como have also shown interest.

Japanese midfielder Hatate, meanwhile, has admirers in Serie A with Udinese weighing up a summer swoop.

But while the duo are hot property, Celtic legend Lambert isn't convinced either has done enough to earn a blockbuster transfer just yet and owe Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers more.

On Kuhn's future, he said: "As a Celtic player, you have to be consistent. You need to hit eight out of 10s every week.

"And when you don't do it, you'll probably hear it from the supporters.

"He was brilliant in the first half of the season, but the season doesn't last half a year.

It's a year, so you've got to perform consistently." Kuhn looked unstoppable at times last term, bagging 21 goals and 15 assists across all competitions.

But the 25-year-old's form dipped after New Year.
