JACK Draper got his clay-court season off to a roaring start as he thrashed Marcos Giron at the Monte Carlo Masters.
The British No.1 beat the American 6-1 6-1, earning his first win over a top-50 opponent on the surface in two years.
After a tough outing on the clay last year, Draper, 23, wanted to prove himself.
He said: “I felt great. Obviously I’ve been working really hard the last couple of weeks.
