Dangers of screen time are laid bare

TEENAGERS and children who have too much daily screen time are increasing their risk of a heart attack or stroke, researchers warn.

Excessive time spent on phones, gaming consoles or watching TV is also associated with high blood pressure, high cholesterol and insulin resistance, it was said.

Using data from a group of 10-year-olds studied in 2010 and a group of 18-year-olds monitored in 2000, researchers examined the relationship between screen time and various risk factors.
